Our Elizabeth Ave Childcare Programme
The team of daycare teachers at Elizabeth Avenue Childcare Centre run a wide-ranging natural immersion programme designed to be a fun learning experience for your child - helping to strengthen their independence through a sense of belonging.
This holistic approach to learning allows our tamariki to engage in their individual interests while feeling safe and secure in our nurturing environment. There is a unique place for every child and plenty of opportunities to play at our Upper Hutt centre.
Our philosophy is shaped to ensure that tamariki have a sense of belonging, independence and cultural identity so they can thrive in their learning environment. Our approach promotes child-led learning through opportunities that include experiences, conversations, relationships and responses. We value and uphold the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Your child will never be bored with our wide range of resources inside and out. Designed to promote gross motor development and encourage physical play. Tamariki of all ages can enjoy sensory exploration through messy play/water and sand play. For the avid adventurer, we have swings, slides, other climbing equipment and gardens for your tamariki to help grow and maintain. Tamariki will have fun throughout the entire programme where they can delve into areas of interest like woodwork, the arts, drama, music/movement, cultural history, botany, language & maths - just to name a few! Learning opportunities are well prepared from kaiako and set out to support the ongoing development of our tamariki. We love watching organic learning happen within our wonderful childcare centre.
